Martine's Pastries Makes a Big Move

Imagine how lucky we feel in Lexington's East End to have this come to our neighborhood:

And then it gets better. At the new location for Martine's Pastries (400 E. Third), Martine and Jim Holzman have created a new gathering place, a beautiful, warm, welcoming space for visiting and connecting and community-building. Oh, and for eating croissants, frittatas and the occasional sweet and buttery indulgence, with excellent coffee.

As happened when beloved Third Street Stuff & Coffee opened on Lexington's North Limestone in 2005, Martine's Pastries creates new possibilities for our neighborhood and our city. Martine's promises to be a place that nurtures dreams, deals, visions, commitments, projects, connections and neighborliness. We will benefit from now on.

Martine's Pastries holds its grand (re)opening this week, April 26-28. Details here. Martine and Jim generously allowed me to document their move and moving in. Enjoy the behind-the-scenes video, Martine's Pastries Makes a Move. I had a wonderful time making it.

Bonus: We featured Martine and Jim on Hot Water Cornbread: Kentucky Food Radio last fall, as they anticipated their move. Enjoy that show here.
