Press Release: 2014 Dinner Club series at Holly Hill Inn leads diners Around the World in 80 Days
Follow the wondrous travels of author Jules Verne's intrepid Phileas Fogg via Chef Ouita's fantastic menus during her second Winter Dinner Series, Around the World in 80 Days!
Beginning Jan. 3, the staff of the Holly Hill Inn in Midway will conduct guests on a culinary world tour replete with guest chefs and exotic stops from London to Paris to Japan and beyond. The three-month schedule is below.
The tour commences Jan. 3-4 in London with a delicious vintage British menu, details below. Then each weekend thereafter, Chef Ouita Michel's cuisine reflects a stop along adventurer Fogg's travels.
From London, Chef Ouita’s menu crosses the English Channel to Paris, proceeds through Italy and around the Horn of Africa to Ethiopia, across India, with stops scheduled in Indonesia, China and Japan (sushi!). We then cross the Pacific for a serious steak dinner in Omaha, then sail the Atlantic to Ireland. Our final stop is in London for a contemporary menu inspired by today’s celebrated British chefs. For the weekend of Valentine’s Day, we feature our annual aphrodisiac menu.
